The Training Lab NYC is a place where you come to train hard, train smart and become a better version of yourself. Fitness is not defined by a set of standards but by the individual. At the Training Lab NYC, we will work toward providing everyone with that baseline which will help you achieve your goals, whether that includes participating in an OCR race, triathlon, half marathon, losing weight or just being fit.
Being a former college athlete & fitness junkie Ive tried basically every Studio/gym in NYC. I started at the lab about 7 months ago through classpass (but have officially become a member) My body transformed itself in just the first few weeks of classes! The workouts are fast paced and challenging but simultaneously welcoming to people that may be newer to the fitness world. But the real difference between the Lab and everyplace else are the people there. I’ve never met a group of more dedicated coaches who not only force you to leave your excuses at the door, but push you to your individual limits and get you excited about being outside of your comfort zone. They have proven that working out does not have to be boring and monotonous; & the team like environment their members create is beyond motivating. It allows you to realize no matter where you are starting from, we are all here to get stronger, faster, leaner or whatever it is your fitness goal is. I definitely think if you are looking for a no BS workout, this is the place to come! Their motto says it all, “NO Hype, Just results”
I first started taking the Training Lab classes the first year they opened. I absolutely loved it from the get-go because of the intensity and how the trainers always motivated me to push harder when I felt I just “can’t do it”. 1 year later and I’m still taking classes here and have far-exceeded my fitness goals, feeling stronger than I’ve ever felt before. The pours of sweat you’ll feel is incredibly worth it. You’ll come out of this studio, down those long flight of stairs like you’ve just conquered something great. Just like everyone says, it is NOT for the faint of heart and would not recommend it to beginners. It will push your endurance level to the extreme. All of the instructors are phenomenal and yes, like a true bootcamp style training, they will yell at you (but with a lot of love behind those yells). My favorite is Daria – she is cray, but I love her so much!
I went to The Training Lab twice on my recent NYC trip and had the most wonderful time. The trainers were so welcoming and inclusive, the workouts were very challenging but fun and the members were all really lovely too. I will 100% be back on my next trip and am very jealous that The Training Lab isn’t in London. Thank you so much for having me, the workouts were definitely some of the highlights of my trip!
